The Visual Computing Group at NTNU focuses on research and education within Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, Image Processing, Extended Reality, and Visualization. Our goal is to advance theoretically interesting topics that benefit society. The Visual Computing Laboratory is a core part of several NTNU educational programs, fostering innovation and collaboration. We actively engage in high-impact research, often amplified through partnerships with institutions like MIRA (Medical Imaging Research and AI), the Gemini Center for Extended Realities (GeminiXR), the Norwegian Open AI Lab, and ARM Trondheim. Our work pushes the boundaries of how humans and machines perceive and interact with both the digital and physical environments.
