The Open Language Programme offers part-time modules for individuals looking to learn or improve a language. Available at various levels from beginner to advanced, the courses combine face-to-face teaching with online resources. Modules are offered in Arabic, English, French, and Spanish. You can take these as part of your degree (if your course structure allows for optional or extension modules), as a standalone course for public enrolment, or as an extra, non-credited module. Standalone students will receive a certificate of attendance.

This short course, developed by the Child and Woman Abuse Studies Unit with 30 years of research experience, focuses on the theory and practice of researching violence against women and children. It equips you with the skills to conduct research and evaluations on forms of violence such as domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and exploitation, as well as to assess support and prevention initiatives. The course covers feminist research approaches, ethical considerations, various data collection methods, and policy-oriented research, culminating in practical skills for evaluating interventions.
