Master of Public Health (MPH) in Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology

The MPH concentration in Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology is designed for public health practitioners aiming to conduct high-level analytical work, often in state and local public health agencies. This program equips students with essential knowledge in reproductive/perinatal and pediatric epidemiology, alongside the analytical and leadership skills needed for data-driven decision-making to improve maternal and child health outcomes. Graduates will be prepared to transform data into actionable information, contributing to the well-being of women, children, and families. The program is coordinated by the UIC Center of Excellence in Maternal and Child Health, a nationally recognized center focused on addressing health inequities and training leaders in the field. The curriculum emphasizes social justice, evidence-based practices, and community collaboration.
