MSc Computer Science or Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence)
This Master of Science degree offers a comprehensive exploration of Computer Science, with an optional specialization in Artificial Intelligence. It is designed to equip you with advanced skills and knowledge applicable to numerous global industries, driven by rapid advancements in areas like AI, app development, and cybersecurity. The course is open to students with or without a prior computer science background, offering a conversion pathway for those new to the field. You will engage with core modules covering essential topics such as programming, databases, and networks. Additionally, you can select optional modules to delve deeper into specialist areas like machine learning, autonomous robotics, and human-AI interaction, tailoring the program to your interests.
Each student will undertake an individual research project, supervised by an expert faculty member. These projects often involve collaborations within the university or with industry partners, providing real-world experience. Past project examples include benchmarking data privacy in autonomous vehicles, analyzing decision-making in virtual environments, and developing machine learning models for keystroke prediction.
If you choose to focus on AI, your degree will be titled MSc Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence). This pathway requires completing at least 40 credits in compulsory AI modules and an AI-focused research project. A two-year full-time version of this course is also available.
