This short continuing education program, 'Gérer son temps et ses priorités' (Managing your time and priorities), is offered by the Centre de Formation continue en Sciences humaines et sociales in collaboration with the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences. It is designed to help participants develop skills in time management and prioritization. The program is taught during the day and is open to returning students.
This Bachelor of Arts program offers a comprehensive study of German and Portuguese languages, literatures, histories, and cultures. You will develop advanced linguistic competence in both languages while gaining critical insights into the societies and media associated with them. The curriculum emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach, drawing from literature, film, history, and linguistics. A significant component of the program is a compulsory Year Abroad, taken in your third year, where you will spend time in countries where German and Portuguese are spoken, either studying at a partner university or undertaking an approved work placement. This immersive experience is designed to enhance your cultural understanding and practical language skills. The program structure allows for a foundational grounding in the first two years, with core language and introductory cultural modules. In later years, you gain more flexibility to choose optional modules that align with your interests, potentially focusing on specific aspects of German or Portuguese studies, applied language, or advanced cultural topics. The program welcomes students with varying levels of prior language experience, offering pathways for both beginners and those with existing knowledge.
