Specialized Educational and Scientific Center of Novosibirsk State University (SUNTS NSU)

The Specialized Educational and Scientific Center of Novosibirsk State University (SUNTS NSU), often called the "Siberian Hogwarts," is a renowned physics and mathematics school for gifted children interested in natural sciences. Located in the Akademgorodok, a major scientific hub, it offers a unique environment for intensive study and research. Students engage in hands-on learning through real scientific research, experiments, and projects, often utilizing the laboratories of NSU and various research institutes of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The program aims to provide students with a high-quality education that prepares them for advanced studies at leading universities. SUNTS NSU caters to students after grades 7, 8, 9, and 10, offering various study tracks including physics-mathematics, chemistry-biology, mathematical research, and IT-mathematics. The curriculum is structured similarly to a university, with lectures and seminar sessions allowing for individualized attention. Classes are held six days a week, with specialized courses and project work in the afternoons. The faculty comprises experienced educators from NSU and researchers from the Russian Academy of Sciences, with over half holding academic degrees.
