Pastoral Studies Program

The Pastoral Studies Program at Australian Lutheran College (ALC) prepares candidates for ordained ministry within the Lutheran Church of Australia and New Zealand (LCANZ). This program is delivered through a blend of synchronous online classes and face-to-face intensives, allowing students to study from their local communities without needing to relocate to Adelaide. The program offers two main pathways: General Ministry Pastors (GMP) and Specific Ministry Pastors (SMP). The GMP program typically spans four full-time years of theological study and formation, while the SMP program is shorter, usually equivalent to one full-time year, focusing on core Lutheran theology for those already serving in a designated context. ALC works closely with the LCANZ throughout the program, which includes academic study, local fieldwork, formational reviews, and supervised pastoral ministry placements. The LCANZ ultimately makes the decision regarding ordination after ALC's recommendation.

Pastry and Baking Certificate

This certificate program is designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge for a career in the pastry and baking industry. It focuses on practical training aligned with the standards set by the American Culinary Federation. Upon completion, graduates will be prepared to enter the workforce directly. While some courses may be transferable to four-year degree programs, this certificate is primarily intended for immediate employment rather than as a transfer pathway.

Patent Engineering (M. Sc.)

The Master of Science in Patent Engineering is designed for graduates with a Bachelor's degree in engineering or natural sciences who are interested in the intersection of technology and intellectual property (IP). This program equips students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to work as patent engineers in patent, research, and development departments. The curriculum uniquely combines in-depth technical content, particularly in electrical engineering and information technology, with essential IP know-how, including German, European, and international patent law, employee invention law, and know-how protection. Graduates will be prepared to analyze and manage complex issues related to technical inventions, their legal protection, economic viability, and strategic application.

Pathophysiology

Pathophysiology is a vital branch of medicine and biology that explores the origins, development, and outcomes of pathological processes. It focuses on understanding the dynamic changes and modifications of physiological functions in various disease states. This field bridges basic medical sciences and clinical practice by explaining how diseases manifest as physiological dysfunctions, providing a foundation for understanding illness and injury at a functional level.

Pathway Courses at Charles Darwin University

Charles Darwin University (CDU) offers several pathway programs designed to help students meet university entry requirements or enhance their study skills. These programs include the Tertiary Enabling Program (TEP), First Nations Pathways to University Programs, and UniBoost. TEP is an alternative route to gain entry into most CDU undergraduate degrees, suitable for those who don't meet ATAR requirements or haven't studied recently. The First Nations Pathways programs provide a culturally safe environment for Indigenous students to prepare for university. UniBoost offers subject-specific and general study skills support for both new and current students.

Pathway to Bath Programme

The Pathway to Bath Programme is a free curriculum enhancement initiative designed for Year 12 students in the UK who meet specific widening participation criteria. Its aim is to equip students with essential skills for university-level study. Participants will engage with university staff and current students, explore their chosen subjects in depth, and gain valuable insights into university teaching and learning environments. The programme is structured to accommodate busy schedules, with live online sessions held on Wednesday afternoons, which are also recorded for later viewing. Successful completion can lead to a guaranteed conditional offer for a degree at the University of Bath. The programme also includes a 3-day residential visit to the campus during the summer.

Pathways Master's Program in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology

The Pathways Master's Program is a fully funded, two-year, research-intensive program designed to provide students with a strong academic foundation and essential research experience. It serves as a preparatory step for students aiming to pursue a Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (MCDB) at a top-tier institution. The program focuses on developing critical skills in research, coursework, and teaching within a supportive and collaborative academic environment at the University of Michigan. This program is ideal for individuals who have demonstrated academic excellence in biology or a related field and wish to enhance their qualifications before applying to doctoral programs. Pathways to Social Work Certificate

The 'Pathways to Social Work and Other Helping Professions' is a free online certificate program designed to help you explore if a career in social work or other helping professions is the right fit for you. This course provides foundational knowledge about the field and guides you on how to pursue further education, such as a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. It covers various career opportunities within social work and may also offer insights relevant to fields like mental health counseling and marriage and family therapy.

Patients, Populations, and Systems Courses

The George Washington School of Medicine & Health Sciences (SMHS) aims to graduate "clinician-citizens" prepared to excel in 21st-century health systems. This program integrates public health, population health, and health systems science throughout the MD curriculum. Graduates are expected to engage with communities to improve health and promote health equity, work effectively in interprofessional teams, and lead initiatives to enhance patient and community well-being. PCI in the Linux Kernel

This program offers an in-depth exploration of the Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) standard and its implementation within the Linux kernel. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of how PCI devices are connected, communicate with the CPU, and are initialized and managed by the operating system. The curriculum covers fundamental concepts such as PCI address spaces, configuration headers, and the roles of PCI-ISA and PCI-PCI bridges in modern computer systems. Designed for students with a background in computer science or related fields, this program delves into the electrical and behavioral specifications of PCI. Peace and Conflict Studies

Peace and Conflict Studies is an interdisciplinary bachelor's program that delves into the origins of conflict and the principles of peace. You'll explore the connections between issues like poverty, violence, discrimination, war, justice, security, and human rights on personal, community, national, and global levels. The program examines various strategies and initiatives for peacemaking and conflict resolution, drawing perspectives from multiple academic fields. It prepares students for careers in diverse sectors including education, journalism, government, international development, non-governmental organizations, and businesses with international operations.

Peace and Conflict Transformation Studies BA

The Peace and Conflict Transformation Studies (PACTS) program at Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) offers an interdisciplinary approach to understanding human conflict and violence. You will explore the multi-layered nature of conflict through courses in subjects like Psychology, International Development, and Communications and Media. Peace Studies

The Center for Peace at Hiroshima University is dedicated to the study and research of peace science. Originally established as the Institute for Peace Science in 1975, it was the first academic research body of its kind in Japan and remains the only peace research institute among Japan's national universities. In 2018, it was reorganized into the Center for Peace to reflect its expanded capabilities and its aim to facilitate research and education in Peace Studies within and beyond the university. The Center focuses on promoting national and international cooperation among researchers, accumulating and processing data related to peace science, and disseminating research findings. Its activities include public lectures, international symposiums, and the publication of research bulletins, engaging with critical global issues such as nuclear weapons, conflict resolution, and the memory of atomic bomb survivors.

Pedagogy (B.A.)

The Pedagogy Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) program at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) focuses on in-depth study of pedagogical theories and the fundamentals of general and vocational pedagogy. You will learn to identify, analyze, and critically reflect on educational issues by understanding the goals, methods, historical foundations, and institutional aspects of education and teaching. The program involves lectures, exercises, and seminars where you will actively participate in smaller groups. A mandatory professional internship provides practical experience. The curriculum offers flexibility through elective subjects and interdisciplinary qualifications. KIT's pedagogy program emphasizes the foundations of educational and social research, as well as vocational pedagogy.

The Pedagogy and Psychology program at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University offers undergraduate studies focused on the principles and practices of teaching and understanding human behavior. Pedagogy M.A. (Master of Arts)

The Master of Arts in Pedagogy (M.A.) program at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) allows you to deepen your scientific qualifications gained during your Bachelor's studies. The program focuses on key areas such as vocational pedagogy, educational research, and teaching-learning research. The standard period of study is four semesters, and upon completion, you will earn 120 ECTS credit points. The program is primarily taught in German. Please note that this program is scheduled to be discontinued after the Summer Semester of 2027, meaning the Summer Semester of 2027 will be the last intake for new first-semester students.

Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship

The Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship at Yale New Haven Hospital is a 12-month program designed to train physicians to become leaders in pediatric anesthesiology. It provides comprehensive clinical experience across a wide range of pediatric subspecialties, including general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, cardiac, neonatal, craniofacial, head and neck, ophthalmic, and gastrointestinal procedures. The program also includes rotations in pain management and pediatric regional anesthesia, as well as opportunities in pediatric critical care. Fellows will gain experience at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital, a tertiary care academic referral center, and will also have exposure to outpatient anesthesia settings. Beyond clinical training, the fellowship offers robust opportunities for clinical and translational research. The Department of Anesthesiology hosts an NIH sponsored T-32 training program, further supporting fellows interested in research. While the primary fellowship is 12 months, it can be extended for individuals seeking additional research training. The program accepts two fellows per year.

Pediatric Pneumology

The Master in Pediatric Pneumology offers specialized training for healthcare professionals in the field of respiratory diseases in children. This one-year program aims to provide advanced knowledge and practical skills for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of pediatric respiratory conditions. The curriculum is designed to cover both common and rare pediatric lung diseases, from congenital anomalies to acquired conditions. Participants will engage with theoretical lectures, case studies, and clinical practice, fostering a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter.

PENT Program

The PENT (Paraprofessional Educator Neighbourhood Training) program is designed for individuals working as educational paraprofessionals. Admission to this program requires prior admission to Brandon University under regular, mature, or transfer categories. Additionally, applicants must have a recommendation from a school principal, Director of Education, or superintendent, secure financial sponsorship, and pass Criminal Records and Child Abuse Registry Checks.
