Graduate Certificate in Arts

The Graduate Certificate in Arts (GCA) at Avondale University is designed to enhance your effectiveness in ministry, whether within a church, school, hospital, or the wider community. This program offers a broad foundation in Ministry Studies or Theological Studies, with optional specialisations in Pastoral Leadership, Chaplaincy Studies, or Youth and Family Ministry. It is offered part-time over two years via a mixed-mode delivery model, allowing for flexibility. Upon successful completion, graduates will be equipped with advanced critical thinking, research dissemination, and professional practice skills relevant to contemporary ministry. The GCA also serves as a pathway for continued study into the Master of Arts program. Please note that specialisation availability depends on sufficient cohort numbers and corresponding Master of Arts offerings. While the program is primarily online for international students residing outside Australia, there is a compulsory on-campus intensive study period requiring an appropriate visa. The course is not available to international students already living in Australia.
