Master's Programmes

Heidelberg University offers a range of Master's programmes, which are postgraduate degrees typically pursued after completing a Bachelor's degree. These programmes are generally designed to be completed in four semesters (two years), though some may be shorter. Degrees awarded include Master of Science (M.Sc.), Master of Arts (M.A.), and Master of Education (M.Ed.). Master's programmes often focus on a single subject, culminating in an academic thesis. Some programmes may include an accompanying subject requiring 20 credit points. Admission requirements vary by programme, with some having restricted entry, local place limits, or requiring selection interviews or tests.
