The Bachelor of Science program in Applied Environmental Informatics and Remote Sensing focuses on understanding and analyzing the complex interactions between humans, nature, and technology using modern digital methods. The Bachelor of Science in Applied Geosciences at KIT focuses on understanding Earth's processes and applying geoscientific methods practically. You will learn how geological processes impact the environment, how resources are extracted, and how to analyze geoscientific data to address issues like environmental damage or climate change. The program covers fundamental geoscientific principles as well as specialized topics such as Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology, Geo-resources, and Geochemistry. KIT's approach emphasizes practical application. You will study soils, rocks, water, and minerals, and use geoscientific methods to solve real-world problems in areas like environmental engineering, geotechnology, and resource exploration. Expect a blend of laboratory work and fieldwork, preparing you for diverse roles in construction, energy, and environmental protection.
