Ethnic and Migration Studies, Master's Programme

This interdisciplinary Master's programme examines ethnicity and migration in relation to global economic and cultural changes, as well as systems of power and resistance. You will develop skills to analyze the causes and consequences of migration, including its impact on race, gender, labor, citizenship, healthcare, welfare, and culture. The programme integrates perspectives from both the humanities and social sciences, fostering critical and innovative approaches to understanding how migration shapes society from historical and sociological viewpoints. You will gain in-depth knowledge in intersectional migration studies, with opportunities to tailor your education through elective courses, study abroad, and internships.
