BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design
This programme inspires you to design interiors that not only respond to today's challenges but imagine a more sustainable and culturally vibrant future. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and problem-based learning, you will explore design as both a creative and critical practice. Balancing conceptual thinking, technical skill, and professional insight, this degree prepares you to design inclusive, sustainable, and transformative interiors for a rapidly evolving world.
Year 1 focuses on developing core skills in drawing, model-making, and spatial experimentation, learning in parallel with BA Architecture students. You'll explore design at multiple scales through sketching, making, and creative exploration.
Year 2 involves applying your growing skills across diverse sectors like retail, commercial spaces, exhibitions, and events. You will collaborate across disciplines, engage with live projects, and work with industry partners to gain real-world experience.
Year 3 challenges you to tackle complex, research-led design projects addressing social, cultural, heritage, and environmental issues. You will define your personal design ethos through an independent major project, graduating with a professional portfolio ready for industry or further study.
