Doctor of Philosophy - Arts

The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Arts is the highest-level Arts degree offered at the University of Melbourne. This program focuses on independent research, culminating in a substantial thesis (80,000–100,000 words) that makes an original contribution to knowledge in your chosen field. Throughout your research, you will have access to specialist support services for higher research degree students, including lectures, seminars, and research development programs.
