This Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program prepares you to become a teacher for special needs education in Germany. The program focuses on preparing educators for inclusive schooling environments. You will study German or Mathematics as your primary subject, alongside a second teaching subject and educational sciences. A core component includes two specialization areas: 'Special Needs Education and Inclusive Education' and 'Diagnostics and Individual Support in Inclusive Schools'. These correspond to the special needs education fields of 'Learning' and 'Emotional and Social Development' which you will pursue further in a consecutive Master's program.
The BSc. Biosciences program offers a foundational scientific education within the Department of Biology. It serves as a prerequisite for all three Master of Science programs offered at the University of Münster and can also prepare students for bioscience Master's programs at other institutions. The program emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach, integrating core natural sciences like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Computer Science with biological questions. While the name 'Biosciences' highlights this breadth, students are fundamentally studying Biology. The curriculum is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of biological disciplines by encouraging students to recognize interconnections between various fields, from molecular genetics to broader ecological concepts.
