Western New England University's College of Engineering offers graduate certificate programs designed for working professionals seeking to advance their careers by developing new skills. These certificates can also serve as an alternative pathway to a master's degree, with credits earned being 'stackable' towards further study at WNE if a master's program is pursued within six years and with a grade of 'B' or higher. The programs are delivered in a hybrid format, allowing participation online, in-class, or a mix of both, across Fall, Spring, and Summer terms.
The Construction Management program equips students with the skills to oversee and manage the complex processes involved in building construction and infrastructure projects. This interdisciplinary field combines knowledge from engineering and business to prepare graduates for leadership roles in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and executing construction projects. The curriculum focuses on developing expertise in areas like surveying, accounting, CAD, project bidding, material quality control, and construction machinery. Graduates are prepared to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
