COLFUTURO-RMIT University Joint Scholarship

The COLFUTURO-RMIT University Joint Scholarship is a collaborative initiative between RMIT University and the Foundation for the Future of Colombia (COLFUTURO). It aims to provide significant financial support to talented Colombian students aspiring to pursue Masters or PhD programs at RMIT University in Australia. This scholarship is designed to ease the financial burden for eligible students, enabling them to focus on their academic and research goals. The scholarship offers a range of benefits, including full tuition fee waivers for research degrees and partial tuition fee reductions for coursework masters, alongside additional funding from COLFUTURO to cover living and other associated costs. It is highly competitive, with a limited number of scholarships distributed across RMIT's colleges, ensuring support for diverse fields of study. To be considered, applicants must first secure admission to an eligible RMIT program and then successfully obtain the COLFUTURO scholarship-loan. This joint funding approach maximizes the support available to Colombian students, making a world-class education at RMIT more accessible.

What's covered

• Tuition Fees (Research Degrees) — 100% discount on tuition fees for up to 6 eligible students for 3 years of a PhD program (with a possible extension to 3.5 years) or 2 years of a Masters by Research program (with no possibility of extension).
• Tuition Fees (Coursework Masters) — 20% reduced tuition fee for Master by Coursework programs in any discipline.
• Additional Funding (from COLFUTURO) — COLFUTURO provides up to a total amount of USD 50,000 to cover remaining tuition fees, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), living costs, and other related costs.
• English Language Support — RMIT UP Academic English Bursary for Latin American students if you are required to study ELICOS.
