The RMIT University Foundation Academic Scholarships are designed to provide financial support to high-achieving international students pursuing Foundation Studies programs. This scholarship helps cover a portion of tuition fees, recognizing academic excellence among students beginning their academic journey at RMIT. The scholarship offers a one-off payment of AU$5,000, directly applied towards future tuition fees after the first census date. This initiative aims to assist international students in achieving their educational goals and integrating successfully into the RMIT academic community. Forty scholarships are available for the 2027 academic year, awarded on a rolling basis. Eligible applicants must have received an offer to study in a Foundation Studies program at RMIT for either Semester 1 or Semester 2, 2027.
The application process for the Foundation Academic Scholarships is integrated with your application for admission to RMIT University. Follow these steps:
The scholarship is applicable only for tuition fees and is non-refundable. It applies to the eligible program(s) and duration specified in your initial offer letter. If you have an ELICOS packaged offer, you may still be eligible, provided you commence your eligible Foundation Studies program in 2027. The scholarship cannot be deferred to another year or intake.
