The Medibank Excellence Scholarship offers AU$12,000 to international students currently completing their Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate (IB) in Australia. This scholarship is designed to support high-achieving students embarking on an Associate or Undergraduate degree at RMIT University. Beyond financial support, successful recipients will gain valuable industry experience, including attending Medibank workshops, participating in Open Day event coordination, meeting recent Medibank graduates, and joining customer focus groups. Up to five scholarships are available, with opportunities to be awarded in both December and January application rounds. Medibank is the preferred Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) provider for international students at RMIT. This scholarship is not refundable, cannot be deferred, and must be taken up for Semester 1, 2027.

- Financial Award — AU$12,000, paid in two installments of AU$6,000 after the census date of each semester in the first year.
- Industry Experience — Opportunity to attend Medibank workshops, participate in Open Day event coordination, meet recent Medibank graduates, and be involved in customer focus groups. Includes a guided tour of Medibank Head Office.

Enrollment StatusMust not be an existing RMIT student.
Other ScholarshipsMust not be in receipt of any other RMIT scholarship.
Applicants are selected based on strong academic results in Year 12 or IB, demonstrated participation in extracurricular or leadership activities, or engagement in community or volunteer work. A short statement (up to 200 words) explaining why you are a strong candidate based on these criteria is required.
