How to apply
Applying for the School of Education Academic Merit Scholarship for China is straightforward as no separate scholarship application is required. Your eligibility will be assessed automatically when you apply for an eligible program at RMIT University.
- Choose your course — Select an eligible program from the Bachelor of Education (BP320), Master of Teaching Practice (Primary Education) (MC219), or Master of Teaching Practice (Secondary Education) (MC220).
- Apply to RMIT — Submit your application to study at RMIT University for your chosen eligible course. Ensure you meet all the academic entry requirements for your program.
- Receive Scholarship Assessment — Your eligibility for the scholarship will be automatically assessed based on your application for the course. No further scholarship action is needed from your side. If successful, you will be notified.
- Accept Offer and Secure Scholarship — If you receive an offer of admission along with the scholarship, you must accept your offer and make the required deposit payment within 14 days from the date of your offer letter to secure the scholarship, due to its limited and first-come, first-served nature.
Eligibility
CitizenshipBe a citizen of the People’s Republic of China (including Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR).
Student VisaBe an international student holding a valid student visa or planning to apply for one before program commencement.
Academic MeritAchieve an Australian equivalent GPA of 2.5, or 70% average, or ATAR 75 in your most recent qualifying qualification at the time of application.
Offer LetterHold a full or conditional offer letter for one of the eligible programs: BP320 Bachelor of Education, MC219 Master of Teaching Practice (Primary Education), or MC220 Master of Teaching Practice (Secondary Education).
Current StudentsNot be an existing RMIT University student currently enrolled in one of the eligible programs.
Other ScholarshipsNot be a recipient of any other RMIT-funded scholarship.
This scholarship has limited availability and is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. To secure the scholarship, you must accept your offer and make a deposit payment within 14 days of receiving your offer letter. If you are already granted this scholarship and change to another eligible program in a future semester, the scholarship will continue to apply to the new program.
