University of Boras Scholarships for International Students

The University of Boras Scholarships help fee-paying international students cut the cost of a master's degree at this public university in western Sweden, founded in 1977 and known for textile engineering, resource recovery and digital environments. How to apply

Apply for admission and the scholarship through the national University Admissions system; the university scholarship has no separate portal for most programmes.

1. Choose your programme — Pick an eligible two-year master's programme at the University of Boras and list it as your first-choice application on universityadmissions.se.
2. Submit your admission application — Apply by the January deadline for the autumn 2027 intake, upload all supporting documents and pay the SEK 900 application fee (unless exempt).
3. Apply for the scholarship — Complete the University of Boras scholarship application within the published scholarship window (typically opening in late January / February) and confirm your programme is eligible.
4. Apply separately for SI (if relevant) — If you meet the criteria, apply for the Swedish Institute scholarship through the SI portal during the separate SI application period in February.
5. Await the decision — Scholarship results are announced in spring 2027, after admission selection results; accept your offer by the stated deadline to keep the award.
