The University of Kent is pleased to offer the Kent International Scholarship to eligible undergraduate students commencing their studies in September 2026. This scholarship provides a tuition fee waiver of up to £5,000, designed to support international students in their academic journey at the University of Kent. It is automatically awarded to qualifying applicants who accept their offer of admission. This scholarship is specifically for students classified as self-funded overseas fee payers. The award is distributed over two years of study: £3,000 will be applied in your first year, with an additional £2,000 deducted from your tuition fees upon successful progression to your second year. Students undertaking a single year of study will receive the initial £3,000 waiver.
There is no separate application process for the Kent International Scholarship. Eligibility is assessed automatically based on your application for admission to the University of Kent.
The following applicants are NOT eligible for this scholarship: students studying SQA or SATC based in China (though they may qualify for a separate £2k-£3k scholarship); applicants for distance learning programmes; applicants for short-term programmes; students from Kent and Medway Medical School or the School of Pharmacy; students joining from Aix Marseille University under a 2+2 agreement; students joining for the Business top-up via Beaconhouse International College; and applicants studying under UKIC or progressing to their undergraduate degree from UKIC.
This scholarship is automatically awarded to all eligible applicants who have accepted their offer of study by the specified deadlines.
