This course provides an introduction to the key planning challenges and solution methods faced by companies across their supply chains. It covers strategic, tactical, and operational planning levels, offering insights into supply chain and production management. Students will learn quantitative methods, including descriptive statistics and mathematical optimization, applied through spreadsheet exercises, laying the groundwork for business intelligence and business analytics studies.
The course covers core concepts in supply chain management (SCM) and operations management (OM), using practical exercises and mandatory group assignments in Microsoft Excel. Topics include data management, formula creation, visualization, and optimization using Excel Solver.
