Applicants must secure a faculty supervisor in the Biomedical Engineering department before admission. While a supervisor isn't required at the initial application stage, admission is competitive, and only candidates who have found a supervisor will be considered. The supervisor must be a core or cross-appointed BME faculty member. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. GRE scores are not required.
