Advanced Standing RequirementsFor advanced standing (2-year program), applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, or the first year of a professional Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture. This prior coursework must include planting design, history and theory of Landscape Architecture, grading and earthwork, and visual representation tools (e.g., 3D modelling, digital fabrication). A mid-B average in the final year of study is required. Specific course prerequisites include: at least three design studio courses, two advanced visual representation courses, two Landscape Architecture history and theory courses (one in 20th century), and at least one course in planting design, horticulture, or plant biology/ecology.
