Entry requirements
Four-year undergraduate degreeA four-year undergraduate degree or equivalent from a recognized university in a non-business field. A minimum mid-B average (equivalent to a 3.0 GPA from the University of Toronto) is required, calculated on courses taken in the final year of undergraduate study. Post-graduation courses or graduate studies may be considered but will not be used for GPA calculation. For applicants who studied outside Canada, GPA conversion consult the School of Graduate Studies' site.
TOEFLPrior to January 21, 2026: Minimum 100, with 22 in writing and 22 in speaking. From January 21, 2026: Minimum 4.5, with 4.5 in writing and 4.0 in speaking. Our TOEFL code is 8696.
IELTS AcademicMinimum overall score of 7.0, with at least 6.5 in each band.
Undergraduate DegreeCompletion of an undergraduate degree from a university where the language of instruction and examination was English.
Quantitative proficiency must be demonstrated. This can be shown through: completion of at least one undergraduate course in statistics, calculus, linear algebra, or a similar subject with a B grade; successful completion of an undergraduate-level course in these subjects from platforms like Coursera or EdX with certification; a minimum quantitative score of 77 on the GMAT Focus (or 45 on GMAT Classic); or a minimum quantitative score of 160 on the GRE. Work experience is not required, but candidates with up to 2.5 years of full-time post-graduation work experience may submit it. Strong verbal, written, and reading comprehension skills, along with proven ability to connect and collaborate effectively within teams, are also essential.
