The Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at Duke University is a multidisciplinary graduate program designed for students with diverse academic backgrounds. Home Department AdmissionApplicants must first apply and be accepted by one of the participating home departments: Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science, or Physics.
