International Business Management - Customer and Service Management M.A.

This Master's program builds on your existing business administration knowledge, aiming to make you an expert in marketing, sales, supply chain, and service management. You will learn to understand customer needs, develop effective marketing strategies, and design corporate structures that are aligned with these customer-centric approaches. The curriculum focuses on how customer expectations influence business processes and organizational design. This specific program, 'International Business Management - Customer and Service Management M.A.', is no longer accepting new applications after the Winter Semester 2024/2025. A new Master's program, 'International Business Development M.Sc.', will be offered starting in the Winter Semester 2025/26.

International Business Management - Finance, Accounting, Control, Taxation M.A.

This Master's program focuses on the financial aspects of a company, building upon knowledge acquired in Bachelor's programs in finance, accounting, controlling, and taxation. You will develop advanced skills in these areas and apply them through case studies. The curriculum is designed to teach you how to manage sales and costs, analyze and address weaknesses within a company's financial structure, and understand the legal frameworks and international regulations. Please note: Applications were last accepted for the winter semester 2024/25. A new Master's program titled "Finance" will be offered starting in the winter semester 2025/26.

Internationally Oriented Studies (IOS)

The Internationally Oriented Studies (IOS) at FH Aachen offer Bachelor's degree programs in engineering and natural sciences designed for both German and international students. The standard study period is six to seven semesters, and all programs are based at the Jülich Campus. While the primary language of instruction is German, some courses may be conducted in other languages, including English.

Please note that the primary language of instruction for most programmes is German, though some courses are offered partly or fully in English.

Mechatronics M.Sc.

The Mechatronics M.Sc. is a 4-semester interdisciplinary Master's program designed for students holding a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. This program, jointly offered by the Faculties of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, and Aerospace Engineering, provides comprehensive and industrially relevant technical knowledge in mechatronic principles, components, system behavior, and design. The primary goal is to further train highly qualified graduates to meet the diverse demands of mechatronic system development. The curriculum includes compulsory modules such as Sensors & Actuators, Mechatronic System Simulation, and Advanced Motion Control, offering in-depth understanding of mechatronic systems. Elective modules allow specialization in areas like robotics, automotive engineering, or microsystems technology, fostering application-oriented research and development. The program emphasizes an international and practical focus, with an integrated R&D project in the second and third semesters designed to familiarize students with international teamwork and project management. Predominantly taught in English with a high proportion of international students, the program ensures a global learning environment. A unique feature is the flexible duration: a 4-semester program includes an initial adaptation semester to level foundational knowledge, while students with a relevant 7-semester Bachelor's degree may complete the program in 3 semesters after an assessment of their prior knowledge.

Ophthalmic Optics and Optometry B.Sc.

It is a dual study program, allowing students to work part-time as opticians or optometrists while pursuing their degree. Students typically reduce their full-time position by about 30% and attend intensive on-campus courses for approximately 12-14 weeks per academic year, usually divided into three blocks of four weeks each. The remaining nine months involve e-learning and practical application within their workplace. This flexible model allows students to gain practical experience and apply their learning in real-world settings throughout their studies. For experienced professionals, such as master opticians, there's a possibility to shorten the study duration significantly.
