Mathematics & Computer Studies

The Department of Mathematics & Computer Studies at Mary Immaculate College (MIC) offers specialized programs in Mathematics and Computer Studies. Originally founded in 1975 to provide mathematics for the Bachelor of Education degree, the department has since expanded to include undergraduate modules for BA (Liberal Arts) and BA in Education (post-primary teaching) programs, as well as computer studies and information technology modules for various undergraduate degrees. The department also supports postgraduate research opportunities in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, leading to MA and PhD degrees.
