Master in Cellular and Molecular Biology
The Master in Cellular and Molecular Biology program aims to equip students with advanced, integrated knowledge of biological systems, from the molecular and cellular level to complex organisms. This program prepares biologists for specialized roles in applied biology sectors such as biotechnology, biomedicine, and neurosciences.
Graduates will gain in-depth theoretical and practical expertise in cellular and molecular biology, covering both physiological and pathological conditions. The curriculum focuses on biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, pharmacology, and physiology, alongside essential statistical and IT tools for experimental data analysis. Graduates will be prepared for research (basic and applied), production, and service activities, particularly in biomolecular, biotechnological, biomedical, or neurobiological fields, and will be capable of managing advanced methodologies.
Upon completion, students will be eligible to enroll in the Italian National Register for Biologists (after passing the state exam), pursue professional activities in research institutes and biomedical laboratories, join pharmaceutical companies, engage in scientific and technological innovation, and manage cellular and molecular technologies. The program also serves as a pathway to relevant PhD programs in Italy and abroad, and to certain medical specialty schools.
