This is a special topic course offered within the Law faculty. It focuses on the critical examination of criminalisation and overcriminalisation, exploring the processes by which certain behaviours become subject to criminal law and the implications of overly broad or punitive legal frameworks. The course aims to deepen understanding of the social, ethical, and legal dimensions of criminal law and its application.
This course provides an introduction to the practical and technical aspects of survey sampling. You will learn about writing survey proposals, costing, identifying and managing non-sampling errors, and the basic theory behind sampling. The course covers different sample designs, questionnaire design, fieldwork procedures, fundamental analytical techniques, and how to write a comprehensive report. It is designed to equip students with the skills needed for effective survey design and execution.
