This program is designed to enhance your understanding of Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR), a critical global health threat. It explores potential knowledge gaps in AMR research, particularly in the context of conflict and war, which has historically been linked to the spread of infectious diseases and multi-drug resistant bacteria. The Middle East, with its history of conflicts, provides a crucial regional context for collecting vital data on AMR, which can inform global strategies. Accepted fellows will first complete a mandatory online course to build foundational knowledge before engaging in the fellowship program. The program aims to address the current scarcity of evidence-based recommendations for AMR by fostering research and data collection from diverse regions, offering a rich case example for global learning.

Antropozoologia – Interdisciplinary Studies in Nature, Society, and Humanities

This interdisciplinary Bachelor's program explores the complex relationship between humans and animals from multiple perspectives. You will gain knowledge in zoology, comparative psychology, and humanities, including philosophy, law, and cultural studies. The program aims to foster a deep understanding of animal life, their needs, and their role in the world, while also examining societal structures that interact with animals. Antropozoology – Interdisciplinary Studies of Nature, Society, and Humanities

Antropozoology is a unique, interdisciplinary bachelor's degree program that bridges the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. It explores the complex relationship between humans and animals from multiple perspectives, including biology, psychology, sociology, law, philosophy, and cultural studies. The program aims to equip students with a deep understanding of animal life, behavior, and needs, as well as the social, cultural, historical, and ethical contexts surrounding human-animal interactions. Graduates will be prepared to critically analyze and positively influence the position of animals in the world.

Appellate Clinic

The Appellate Clinic provides students with hands-on experience in federal appellate practice. Students will brief and argue cases before the United States Courts of Appeals. The clinic primarily represents clients in pro bono, court-appointed cases concerning civil rights or criminal appeals, but may also handle other types of federal appeals. This practical experience includes regular client interaction, intensive case record analysis, substantial legal research, and the drafting and revision of appellate briefs. Students may also have the opportunity to draft an amicus brief.

Application of Criminal Law

This mandatory course, offered within the Bachelor's program in Law, focuses on the application of criminal law in the Russian Federation. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the purpose and objectives of criminal law, and how it aligns with legal reforms aimed at ensuring justice according to international standards. The course is designed to foster an active civic stance, develop creative potential, and cultivate respect for human rights and legal interests.

Applications of Negotiation and Mediation for Public Health Professionals

This online asynchronous course focuses on developing critical negotiation and mediation skills for public health professionals. It provides opportunities to apply negotiation and mediation principles and models to real-world public health scenarios. Through simulations, students will practice negotiation techniques and gain insight into their personal strengths and weaknesses in these processes. The course aims to equip professionals to better represent the populations they serve, optimize resource allocation, and achieve program objectives.

Applied AI

The MSc Applied AI program at Birkbeck, University of London, is designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel in the rapidly growing field of artificial intelligence. This program focuses on the practical application of AI technologies and tools within a business context, preparing graduates for diverse roles across various industries. Through co-creation with educational institutions, researchers, businesses, and civil society, the program aims to design, develop, and implement AI applications that benefit companies and communities.

Applied Analytical Chemistry in Marine Sciences

This Master's level course focuses on the theory and application of advanced analytical techniques used to characterize the physical and chemical properties of the ocean. You will gain a deeper understanding of methods for quantifying specific compounds and analyzing the marine environment. The skills learned are also applicable to broader industrial and environmental science fields. The course addresses the unique challenges of chemical measurements in seawater, considering its complex composition and the vast spatial and temporal scales involved. Understanding the flow of chemicals globally and locally is crucial, as these are linked to human activities and Earth's climate. To interpret biogeochemical processes, one must consider the physical and chemical complexity of seawater, the atmosphere, and sediments. Many naturally occurring organic and inorganic species are present at extremely low concentrations, and only a few ions exceed 1mM. Furthermore, seawater is a complex organic mixture. New technologies and sensor development are rapidly advancing to meet these analytical challenges.
