MSc Human Rights
The MSc Human Rights is an interdisciplinary Master's programme that explores human rights from sociological, political, philosophical, and legal viewpoints. It examines the standards and structures of human rights, engaging with contemporary issues and debates such as genocide, humanitarian intervention, labour rights, gender and sexuality, race, and transitional justice. The programme aims to critically assess the effectiveness of international human rights in promoting global justice, blending theory with practical application. Students will join a dynamic academic community, with opportunities to engage in research activities and events through the LSE Human Rights hub, which offers exclusive masterclasses, seminars, and public events featuring leading academics and practitioners. This programme prepares graduates for careers in human rights advocacy and policy-making in governmental bodies, international organizations, NGOs, and academia.
