Paramedic College Credit Certificate
The Paramedic College Credit Certificate program at St. Johns River State College prepares students for careers in Emergency Medical Services (EMS). This limited-access program follows the U.S. Department of Transportation National EMS Educational Standards for Paramedic and consists of three consecutive semesters of didactic learning, laboratory practice, clinical rotations, and field experiences.
Students will acquire advanced skills for pre-hospital emergency care, including EMT-Basic skills, IV fluids, medication administration, advanced life support, airway management, and treatment for trauma, burns, and adult/pediatric medical emergencies. Graduates are prepared to work as advanced care providers in ambulances, hospital emergency rooms, intensive care units, and on transport teams.
