Epidemiology

This Epidemiology module at Oxford Brookes University provides an essential introduction to the core concepts and methodologies of epidemiology, focusing on its practical application within primary and community health settings. The module takes 200 hours of study over 12 weeks and can be taken as a standalone module or as part of a larger programme of study.

Equine Science

Equine Science BSc (Hons)

This Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Equine Science provides a comprehensive understanding of scientific principles and management theories relevant to the equine industry. You will study a range of subjects including anatomy and physiology, rehabilitation, behaviour and training, industry business aspects, and welfare issues concerning sports and thoroughbred horses. The course is delivered in partnership with Abingdon and Witney College, with most teaching at Oxford Brookes University and two specific modules in Year 1 conducted at the college's commercial thoroughbred stud farm near Witney to bridge theory and practice. Upon graduation, you will possess up-to-date knowledge and practical skills applicable to various roles within the equine sector. The program aims to equip you for employment or further study at Master's or PhD level. The university also offers an equitation society where students can participate in competitions regardless of horse ownership.
