Virginia Tech - Connect 2021: Continuing Education Program

The Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine (VMCVM) hosted a Continuing Education (CE) program at Connect 2021 in Blacksburg, VA, on September 18, 2021. This program offered 6 hours of CE credit across three specialized tracks: Small Animal, Large Animal, and Public Health/Wellness. The sessions featured presentations by alumni who are recognized specialists in their respective fields, providing advanced knowledge and practical insights for veterinary professionals. While CE credit was awarded to live participants, recordings of the sessions are not eligible for CE credit. Transcripts of attendance are available upon request. The program aimed to enhance the expertise of attendees through focused learning experiences and discussions led by distinguished alumni and faculty.

These virtual experiences are for academic credit towards your Swinburne degree and are supported by third-party internship providers who manage the internship placement, orientation, and ongoing support. While most study areas are potentially available, flexibility is encouraged as not all disciplines may be suitable for every virtual placement. Information sessions are available to help students learn more about the programs and speak with advisors.

Visiting the Industrial Revolution: The Communication of World Heritage Values to Tourists in Ironbridge Gorge

This PhD thesis explores how the unique values of the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site are communicated to tourists. It investigates the gap between the site's designation for its Industrial Revolution significance and visitors' perceptions, which often lean towards a 'rural idyll'. The research examines both formal communication methods and how individual tourist experiences shape their understanding of the site's heritage values. The study reveals that differences in how the 'Outstanding Universal Value' is presented can limit deeper engagement. Furthermore, individual tourist interests and intentions play a significant role in shaping their personal encounters with the site's heritage. The research aims to understand these dynamics to improve the communication of World Heritage values. Key findings suggest that while the site is recognised for its industrial past, many visitors perceive it more as a picturesque rural landscape. The thesis also highlights how the presentation of heritage can influence tourist interpretation and engagement, suggesting a need for more effective communication strategies to bridge the gap between official designations and visitor understanding.

The Visual Art program at Simon Fraser University's School for the Contemporary Arts (SCA) offers a dynamic and progressive education focused on contemporary art. The Visual Computing Laboratory is a core part of several NTNU educational programs, fostering innovation and collaboration. Visual Sociology, Aesthetic Philosophy, Analytical Psychology and Art Criticism

This postgraduate specialization course (Corso di Perfezionamento) offers an interdisciplinary approach, combining Visual Sociology, Aesthetic Philosophy, Analytical Psychology, and Art Criticism. It aims to provide participants with advanced knowledge and critical tools to understand and analyze contemporary visual culture and its psychological and philosophical underpinnings. The course is delivered entirely online via Zoom, offering flexibility for students worldwide.

Visualizing Electricity & Magnetism - Falling Coil

This program offers a unique visualization of the magnetic field surrounding a conducting, non-magnetic ring as it falls through the magnetic field of a fixed permanent magnet under gravity. The visualization is part of a larger initiative to help students understand complex concepts in Electricity & Magnetism through interactive and visual tools. It is designed to illustrate fundamental principles in electromagnetism, specifically Faraday's Law, by showing the dynamics of field lines and induced currents.

Viticulture and Oenology Sciences - International Curriculum

The Master's degree in Viticulture and Oenology Sciences (International Curriculum) aims to train highly skilled professionals ready to undertake specialized roles in the field of wine production with a significant degree of autonomy. The program emphasizes complex problem-solving in managing local viticulture and oenology systems, considering both environmental and socio-economic factors. VLSI Laboratories

The VLSI & CAD lab at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Guwahati, is equipped with cutting-edge software and hardware for both analog and digital Very-Large-Scale Integration (VLSI) circuit design. Students gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools like Cadence for analog design, enabling them to complete the full design flow up to GDS II file formation using a 180 nm CMOS process. For digital VLSI circuits, the lab utilizes Xilinx Vivado Suite and Synopsys EDA tools, supported by FPGA development boards like Basys-3, Zed board, and Genesys 2 for rapid prototyping. Undergraduates are trained in the complete digital design process, from gate-level design to on-chip testing, and can develop their own FPGA-based systems using provided PMOD interfaces. The lab also features the ORCAD PCB design bundle for system-level design. Students, both undergraduate and postgraduate, are strongly encouraged to undertake projects using these advanced tools and hardware. This practical approach ensures they become proficient in industry-standard practices for digital and analog VLSI design, testing, and applications, preparing them for professional roles in the field.
