Graduate Certificate in Leadership
The Graduate Certificate in Leadership (GCL) is a specialised program designed for students to explore the theoretical and practical aspects of leadership within their specific contexts. The course focuses on developing essential leadership skills such as self-awareness, effective communication, theological reflection, and research capabilities. Australian Lutheran College (ALC) collaborates with the Uniting College for Leadership and Theology (UCLT) to deliver this program, with ALC specifically contributing to leadership unit delivery for educators in Lutheran schools and early childhood services.
This program aims to equip graduates with the ability to critically analyse leadership theories, integrate perspectives from religious and spiritual traditions, and apply specialised knowledge to complex leadership situations. Graduates will enhance their communication skills, both written and oral, to effectively convey leadership ideas and decisions. The GCL encourages critical reflection on theological, religious, social, cultural, ethical, and sustainability issues from a leadership standpoint, preparing students to contribute actively to healthy organisational development and transformation.
