Advanced Diploma in Theology and Ministry

The Advanced Diploma in Theology and Ministry at Australian Lutheran College is a two-year full-time (or up to eight years part-time) program designed for students who wish to deepen their understanding of theological disciplines and practical ministry. This diploma builds upon the foundational knowledge gained from a Diploma in Theology, offering advanced study in areas such as Biblical Studies, Christian Thought and History, and Ministry. The program is available to both domestic students and international students who study online from their home country or are already in Australia on a non-student visa that permits study. Please note, this course is not available to international students on a student visa. Through this program, you will develop significant foundational skills for critical study of Christian texts, learn to articulate and reflect on theological and scriptural knowledge, and apply this understanding to various ministry practices. The curriculum emphasizes analytical skills, enabling you to construct and communicate sound theological arguments relevant to ministry tasks and worldview perspectives. You will also learn to apply your knowledge and skills to diverse contexts and traditions, engaging in culturally relevant ministry and serving others through practical support and philosophical analysis.
