The Master of Science (MSc) in Data Science and Information Technologies (DSIT) is a highly interdisciplinary program designed to enhance your knowledge and skills in key areas like Data Science, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), applied mathematics, and statistical methods. The program emphasizes the practical application of these fields, particularly within Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biomedical Data Science, and the broader Life Sciences.
You will delve into the management, processing, analysis, and software development for massive and complex datasets, which are fundamental for machine learning and AI. The curriculum also covers the development of mathematical models, algorithms, statistical analysis techniques, image processing, and natural language processing. Organized by the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), this MSc is a collaboration with the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens (BRFAA) and the ATHENA Research Center. Instruction is provided by experienced professors and researchers from these institutions, alongside PhD scientists from other Greek and international institutions, and industry specialists.
