TDT37 - Digitalization in Practice

This course, TDT37 - Digitalization in Practice, is a student-driven module focused on understanding digitalization from practical and applied perspectives. Instead of traditional lectures, the course involves brief teacher introductions to five key topics, followed by student-led group presentations of assigned academic papers. The focus is on extracting key insights, illustrative cases, and relevant vocabulary from the readings, rather than deep theoretical exploration. This format encourages active participation and critical discussion among students.

VDC-Certificate Programme Norway NTNU - Stanford

This certificate program focuses on Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), offering practical, hands-on experience. You will gain in-depth knowledge of VDC concepts, how to implement them, and their practical application within your organization, team, department, or projects. The course covers five core VDC concepts: Integrated Concurrent Engineering (ICE), Building Information Modeling (BIM), Process and Production Management (PPM), Metrics, and Goal Achievement. The program is designed for professionals looking to enhance their project management and construction capabilities. Upon completion, participants will be able to explain and analyze the relationships between the four key VDC concepts (ICE, BIM, Process and Production Management, and Goal Management). You will also develop the skills to plan, implement, and evaluate collaborative meetings (ICE sessions) using digital tools and create an implementation plan for adopting or expanding VDC practices in your organization. The course is part of NTNU's continuing education offerings and requires at least two years of relevant professional experience.

Visual Computing

The Visual Computing Group at NTNU focuses on research and education within Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, Image Processing, Extended Reality, and Visualization.
