Open to citizens of 26 eligible partner countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. Candidates cannot apply individually; they are nominated through project-based partnerships between Canadian higher education institutions and institutions in their home country. At least 51% of recipients are women, and applicants must meet the admission criteria of the Canadian institution and commit to contributing to the development of their home country after graduation.

Western Union Global Fellowship
Open to emerging leaders and social entrepreneurs who are leading nonprofit or for-profit social-impact ventures, especially those from or working with refugee, displaced, marginalised or underserved communities. Applicants should be able to commit fully to the virtual fellowship duration (around 8-10 hours per week, rising to 10-15 hours in the first two weeks) and have or plan a community placement for their venture. Applicants from a defined list of priority countries are especially encouraged to apply.
