Open to citizens and current residents of a Southeast Asian (ASEAN) nation who are emerging leaders aged 25 to 35, with at least two years of professional experience and currently employed in a government, civil society or private-sector role relevant to the programme themes. Applicants must read and write English and must not be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
Open to emerging leaders and social entrepreneurs who are leading nonprofit or for-profit social-impact ventures, especially those from or working with refugee, displaced, marginalised or underserved communities. Applicants should be able to commit fully to the virtual fellowship duration (around 8-10 hours per week, rising to 10-15 hours in the first two weeks) and have or plan a community placement for their venture. Applicants from a defined list of priority countries are especially encouraged to apply.

Open to citizens of Commonwealth countries (excluding South Africa) who hold a master's degree completed at least two years before applying and are under 38 years of age at the time of application. Applicants must not be current or former master's or doctoral students at the University of Pretoria. The award funds full doctoral study at UP with tuition coverage, a living allowance, and research support.
