This PhD research focuses on the linguocultural aspects of translating terms related to clothing across Kazakh, Chinese, and English languages. It examines how national attire and its terminology are represented and transmitted in literary works, particularly in translations of the novel-epic «Abai». The study highlights the cultural significance of clothing as a marker of national identity and explores the challenges and methods involved in accurately conveying these ethnocultural specificities in translation. The research aims to deepen the understanding of linguistic and cultural interrelations, contributing to translation studies, comparative linguistics, and linguoculturology.
