Paramedic College Credit Certificate

The Paramedic College Credit Certificate program at St. Johns River State College prepares students for careers in Emergency Medical Services (EMS). This limited-access program follows the U.S. Department of Transportation National EMS Educational Standards for Paramedic and consists of three consecutive semesters of didactic learning, laboratory practice, clinical rotations, and field experiences. Students will acquire advanced skills for pre-hospital emergency care, including EMT-Basic skills, IV fluids, medication administration, advanced life support, airway management, and treatment for trauma, burns, and adult/pediatric medical emergencies. Graduates are prepared to work as advanced care providers in ambulances, hospital emergency rooms, intensive care units, and on transport teams.

Practical Nursing Career Certificate

This Practical Nursing program is a year-long career certificate designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed for entry-level positions in the healthcare field. Approved by the Florida Board of Nursing, the program includes 1,350 hours of coursework with dedicated instructors. Upon successful completion, you will be eligible to apply for the state licensure examination to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), opening doors to a rewarding career helping people in a high-demand field.

Risk Management and Insurance Certificates
