It equips learners with a design thinking mindset and a toolkit for rapid prototyping of XR applications. The course covers the entire XR design process, from understanding different paths to becoming an XR creator to developing and evaluating XR experiences. It emphasizes user-centered techniques, ethical considerations, and practical methods for prototyping, both physically and digitally, including immersive authoring directly on XR devices. An honors track is available for learners who wish to create their own storyboard, physical prototype, and digital prototype of an XR experience, allowing for hands-on practice with design skills and new digital tools for previewing prototypes.
