The AMFI (Amsterdam Fashion Institute) offers an English-taught Bachelor's program focused on fashion. Applied AI

The Applied AI program focuses on the practical and responsible application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in various fields. Rather than developing new AI technologies, the program emphasizes using AI as a tool to create meaningful solutions. Through co-creation with educational institutions, researchers, businesses, and civil society, the program aims to design, develop, and implement AI applications that benefit companies and communities.

Bachelor of Education in Physical Education (ALO)

The Bachelor of Education in Physical Education (ALO) program prepares you to become a qualified physical education teacher for primary and secondary schools. You will develop the skills to lead engaging and regular movement activities for children and young people, fostering their physical and social development. The program combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience, including extensive internships from the first year. You'll learn about motor learning, psychology, pedagogy, communication, anatomy, physiology, and first aid, alongside practical sports training in areas like athletics, movement and music, games, and self-defense. Graduates are equipped to motivate individuals towards active lifestyles and make a difference in schools and beyond, becoming ambassadors for movement.

Critical Care Research

This research group focuses on improving the care provided to vulnerable patients in Intensive Care Units (ICUs). Annually, around 70,000 patients in the Netherlands require intensive care, often involving mechanical ventilation. While life-saving, prolonged ventilation can pose risks. The Critical Care research group is dedicated to exploring effective nursing interventions to optimize patient care, implement evidence-based practices, and discontinue less effective methods.

European Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (part-time)

The European Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (OT-EuroMaster) is an international, part-time, research-oriented program designed for professionals seeking to deepen their expertise in Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science. Delivered across five European universities in five countries, this program fosters critical thinking and research skills within a multicultural learning environment. Graduates are prepared to contribute to inclusion, health, and sustainability in individuals' and communities' daily lives.

European School of Physiotherapy

Master's Programmes

Hogeschool van Amsterdam (HvA) offers a range of professional Master's degree programmes designed to advance your expertise and experience in your chosen professional field. These programmes focus on a theoretical approach to professional practice. Upon successful completion, you will be awarded an internationally recognised Master's degree, such as an MA, MSc, MD, or MBA. A follow-on Master's is taken immediately after a Bachelor's, while a post-experience Master's requires relevant work experience. Programmes can be pursued full-time, part-time, or as a dual study option.
