This master's level course, Advanced Organic Chemistry (KBT036), aims to deepen your understanding of organic chemistry, focusing on mechanistic aspects and expanding your knowledge of various organic reactions. You will explore newer topics including organometallic chemistry, pericyclic reactions, organic photochemistry, radical reactions, asymmetric synthesis, reactions involving amines and phosphorus compounds, and carbon-carbon bond formation. The course also provides hands-on experience in synthetic organic chemistry and the analysis of organic compounds.
The Applied Quantum Physics (AQP) laboratory focuses on theoretical physics, with a team of approximately 35 researchers. Our work involves applying theoretical tools to current and future solid-state physics experiments. Our research areas are diverse, including quantum thermodynamics, exotic phases in high-temperature superconductors, transport phenomena in nanostructures, 2D materials like graphene, quantum information in continuous variables and superconducting circuits, quantum algorithms, quantum machine learning, and quantum acoustics/plasmonics. We contribute to education by lecturing and assisting in various theoretical courses within the university. The laboratory is home to several research groups, each delving into specific aspects of quantum physics and its applications.
