Malardalen University (MDU)

Malardalen University Scholarships (Tuition Fee Waiver)

Open to fee-paying students from non-EU/EEA countries and Switzerland who apply to a Master's programme at Malardalen University as their first choice through University Admissions and pay the application fee. Citizens of certain long-term development cooperation countries (e.g. Bangladesh, Kenya, Tanzania) are not eligible and should apply for Swedish Institute scholarships instead. The award is a full tuition fee waiver and does not cover living costs.

University of Gothenburg Scholarships (Axel Adler Scholarship)

Open to fee-paying international (non-EU/EEA) students applying for master's programmes at the University of Gothenburg who list the university as their first-choice and demonstrate strong academic merit; the Axel Adler Scholarship covers tuition fees and is awarded on academic excellence.

Central European University (CEU)

Central European University Scholarships

Open to international students of all nationalities. Undergraduate applicants need a high-school diploma or equivalent, master's applicants a recognised bachelor's degree, and doctoral applicants a completed master's degree. Proof of English proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent) is required, with exemptions for students from English-medium institutions. Fully funded packages apply to master's and PhD applicants, while undergraduates are eligible for partial merit-based tuition awards.

University of Oxford

Reach Oxford Scholarship

For undergraduate students from low-income countries who, for financial or political reasons, cannot study for a degree in their own country. It funds a first undergraduate degree at the University of Oxford and is not available for the standard Medicine course. Applicants apply to Oxford through UCAS first, then submit a separate scholarship application if shortlisted.

University of Sussex (in partnership with the China Scholarship Council)

CSC - University of Sussex Scholarship

Exclusively for citizens of the People's Republic of China, either permanently residing in China or currently studying overseas (applicants working overseas are not eligible). Candidates must be classified as international Chinese students for tuition purposes, meet the University of Sussex English language requirements, hold or expect strong academic qualifications (a UK-equivalent first-class honours degree and, for Arts/Humanities/Social Sciences, a master's degree), and must secure both a Sussex PhD admission offer and CSC funding.

Heidelberg Laureate Forum Foundation

Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF)

Open to applicants of all nationalities who are active young researchers in mathematics, computer science or closely related fields, including undergraduate and pre-master students, current master's students, PhD students, and postdocs who completed their PhD within the last five years.

Swedish Institute (Svenska institutet)

Swedish Institute Study Scholarships – Pioneering Women in STEM

For women from a defined list of eligible countries who plan to pursue an eligible STEM master's programme in Sweden and aim to drive change in their home country. You must first apply for and gain admission to an eligible programme through University Admissions in Sweden, then apply for the scholarship.

Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (IPAM), UCLA

RIPS Summer Internship Program (IPAM, UCLA)

Open to undergraduate students of all nationalities enrolled in or recently graduated with a bachelor's degree (recent graduates must have completed their degree no earlier than December 2026 for the 2027 cycle). A foundation in mathematics is encouraged; experience in programming or data analysis is helpful but not required for all projects. International students may apply; those abroad apply for a US visa with IPAM's assistance, while those in the US should verify CPT/OPT with their university.

Swedish Institute (SI), Sweden

Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP)

For applicants from a defined list of ~40 countries who have work and/or leadership experience and plan to drive change in their home country. You must first apply for and gain admission to an eligible Swedish master's programme through the national admissions service, then apply separately to the SISGP scholarship.

University of Edinburgh - The Roslin Institute

University of Edinburgh Roslin Institute PhD Studentships

International and home students with a strong academic background in veterinary sciences, agriculture, biology or a related discipline, who can demonstrate motivation to undertake research in one of the offered project areas and have excellent English proficiency.

Western University

Western University National Scholarship Program (Canada)

Open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents entering full-time undergraduate study at Western University's main campus, with a minimum academic average of 90% in Grade 12 U/M courses (or equivalent), a school nomination, a reference letter, a transcript and an essay.

Nottingham Trent University (NTU)

Nottingham Trent University PhD Studentships

Open to international and UK applicants with a first or upper second-class honours degree (or international equivalent); a lower second-class degree is accepted with a master's at Merit or above. Non-native English speakers need IELTS 6.5 overall (no band below 6.0).

Independent Social Research Foundation (ISRF)

ISRF Europe Early Career Fellowship

Open to early-career researchers in the social sciences and humanities who are within 10 years of their PhD award (career breaks considered) and hold a salaried position at a higher education or research institution, or are independent scholars with a host institution. Research must be hosted at a European institution and address innovative, interdisciplinary social research questions. Open to scholars of all nationalities.

Science@Leuven Scholarship

For international students with a strong academic record who are admitted to a master's programme in the Faculty of Science at KU Leuven. The scholarship is awarded at several levels (full and partial) and is renewable for the second year only if the holder passes all credits and maintains the required academic results.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Brunei Darussalam

Brunei Darussalam Government Scholarship for International Students

Open to international students of all nationalities applying for Diploma, Undergraduate or Postgraduate Master's programmes at participating Brunei universities for the academic session. Applicants for undergraduate and diploma programmes must not exceed 25 years of age, and applicants for postgraduate Master's programmes must not exceed 35 years of age. Proficiency in English is required, along with certified copies of academic qualifications, transcripts, testimonials, birth certificate and passport, plus references from two referees. Selected scholars are expected to commence study in the July/August intake.

University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) / China Scholarship Council (CSC)

University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) Chinese Government Scholarship

Open to international students of all nationalities who are not currently enrolled in a Chinese university and graduated at least one year before applying. Master's applicants must hold a bachelor's degree and be under 40; doctoral applicants must hold a master's degree and be under 45. Applicants must be recommended by a UCAS-affiliated supervisor and must not hold any other scholarship during the application process.

Alliance of National and International Science Organizations (ANSO)

CAS-ANSO China Scholarships

Open to international students of all (non-Chinese) nationalities for fully funded Master's and PhD study at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) or the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS). Master's applicants must be born on or after 1 January 1995 and PhD applicants on or after 1 January 1990, be proficient in English or Chinese, meet the host institution's admission requirements, not currently be pursuing a degree in China, and apply to only one of USTC or UCAS.

Shandong University (Chinese Government Scholarship, Type B)

Shandong University Chinese Government Scholarship for International Students

Open to non-Chinese citizens in good health with no criminal record; bachelor's applicants under 25, master's under 35 and doctoral under 40. Language requirements are HSK 5/6 for Chinese-taught study or IELTS 6.0+/TOEFL 80+ for English-taught study.

Fulbright Commission Denmark (Denmark-America Foundation)

Fulbright Denmark Grant for Danish Students

Open only to Danish citizens who are enrolled in or admitted to a Master's (MSc) or PhD programme and plan a study or research stay in the United States. The U.S. stay must not have begun at the time of application and should last at least one semester (4 to 6 months). Applicants are assessed on academic record, research potential, and cross-cultural commitment.

University of Exeter

EPSRC DTP PhD Studentships at the University of Exeter

Open to both UK (Home) and international applicants for PhD study in engineering and physical sciences at the University of Exeter. Applicants should hold a First or Upper Second Class UK Honours degree (or equivalent) in science, engineering or technology; a Lower Second Class may be acceptable with a Master's degree or strong non-academic experience. Home-fee eligibility follows the UKRI EPSRC residency criteria (UK nationals, settled or pre-settled status, or indefinite leave to remain/enter). A limited number of awards are open to international students, who must cover visa costs and the immigration health surcharge. Non-native English speakers must meet the university's English language requirement.

Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), Republic of Türkiye

Türkiye Scholarships (Türkiye Burslari)

For international students (non-Turkish citizens) who meet the age and academic-grade requirements for their level (e.g. under ~21 for bachelor's, ~30 for master's, ~35 for doctoral, as a guideline). A single online application covers admission and the scholarship; placement is to Turkish universities chosen in the application.

Turkiye Scholarships (Turkiye Burslari) and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB)

Turkiye Scholarships - IsDB Joint Scholarship Programme

Open to citizens of IsDB member countries and members of Muslim communities in non-member countries. Applicants must show a strong academic record and meet age limits (generally under 21 for undergraduate, under 30 for master's, under 35 for PhD). Many programmes are taught in Turkish, so applicants must complete a one-year Turkish language course; English-taught programmes may require a recognised language certificate such as TOEFL.
