Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship Programme

For outstanding students with no other means of financing, from specific countries where the Aga Khan Development Network works (parts of Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, plus some others), primarily for master's study. International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO)

International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) Fellowship

Open to young ophthalmologists worldwide who are under 40 at the time of applying, have passed a specialist examination in ophthalmology, and can commit to at least 12 months of research training at a host centre (ideally in a country other than their own). Applicants must be reasonably fluent in the language of the training centre, secure an endorsement from their programme director, and submit a sustainability statement confirming they will return to their home post afterwards.

Dutch Research Council (NWO)

NWO Rubicon Programme

For researchers who have recently completed (or are about to complete) a PhD, who want to gain research experience at a foreign institution (or at a Dutch institution if coming from abroad). It is a postdoctoral programme; applicants must have obtained their doctorate within the last ~12 months and apply through NWO with a host.

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)

UNDP Graduate Programme

Open to nationals of a UNDP programme country who hold either a master's degree with a maximum of one year of relevant professional experience, or a bachelor's degree with two to three years of relevant experience. Fields include international development, economics, political science, social sciences, human rights, data science, communications, finance, and environmental studies. Fluency in English is mandatory, working knowledge of French, Arabic, or Spanish is an asset, and candidates must be willing to relocate internationally for the two-year assignment.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia

Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program (MTCP) Scholarship

Open to citizens of developing countries recognised by the Malaysian government, aged up to 45, with strong academic credentials meeting their chosen programme's requirements. Applicants must already hold admission to a participating public or private Malaysian university and provide proof of English proficiency such as an IELTS score or institutional certificate, and be in good health.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Taiwan

Taiwan MOFA Scholarship (Ministry of Foreign Affairs Scholarship)

For international students — mainly from countries with ties to Taiwan — to pursue a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree at universities in Taiwan. It combines a tuition subsidy with a monthly living stipend; applications are made through a Taiwan embassy or representative office.

Hatfield College, Durham University

Hatfield Lioness Postgraduate Scholarship

Open to female students from one of the eligible developing countries who hold an unconditional offer for a taught Master's programme at Durham University by June 2026. Applicants must not already hold another postgraduate scholarship, must not already possess a Master's degree, must meet the admission and English language requirements for their chosen course, and must demonstrate financial need and a lack of alternative funding. MBA, PhD, and research-based Master's programmes are excluded.

Ministry of Education (MOE), Republic of China (Taiwan)

Taiwan MOE Scholarship (Taiwan Scholarship Programme)

For international students (excluding overseas Chinese and nationals of the Republic of China) with a strong academic record applying for bachelor's, master's, or doctoral study at Taiwanese universities. Applicants apply through the Taiwan embassy or representative office in their home country during the annual window.

National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST / Taiwan Tech)

NTUST Scholarships (National Taiwan University of Science and Technology)

Open to international students of all nationalities applying to Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD programmes at NTUST. The university does not require an acceptance letter in advance and waives standardised English tests (IELTS, TOEFL, GRE) for the scholarship application. Applicants apply online and are assessed on academic record across fields including engineering, business, computer science, design, and applied foreign languages.

Global Excellence Postgraduate Scholarship

For high-achieving non-EU students applying for an eligible taught master's programme at Trinity College Dublin (TCD). Awards are merit-based partial fee reductions; you apply for the scholarship in connection with your master's admission application, by the relevant deadline.

University of Melbourne

Hansen Scholarship at the University of Melbourne

Australian citizens, permanent residents or holders of an Australian temporary or permanent protection visa who are enrolled in an Australian Year 12 or IB programme, aged 16-20 at application, with a predicted ATAR of 90+ (or IB equivalent) and demonstrated financial hardship (e.g. a family receiving Centrelink benefits). Asylum seekers are eligible for full fee remission.

French Institutes for Advanced Study (FIAS)

French Institutes for Advanced Study (FIAS) Fellowship

Open to international scholars and scientists, primarily in the social sciences and humanities, who hold a doctoral degree plus at least 2 years of full-time post-doctoral research experience (or a master's plus 6 years). Applicants must comply with the transnational MSCA mobility rule, having spent no more than 12 months in France during the 3 years before the deadline.

Nuffic (Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs)

Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) Scholarships

Open to mid-career professionals who are nationals of, and currently living and working in, one of the listed OKP partner countries. Applicants must have proficiency in English or French, be in work that aligns with one of the priority areas designated for their country, be able to show they will use and transfer their new knowledge within their employing organization, and agree to comply with the obligations and conditions of the OKP. A limited number of awards is granted to motivated female and male professionals.

University of Strathclyde (Department of Management Science)

University of Strathclyde PhD Scholarship in Supply Chain Optimization Research

Open to applicants for a 3-year PhD project on optimizing complex multi-echelon supply chains under uncertainty, supervised by Professor Kerem Akartunali. Candidates need a first-class honours undergraduate degree, preferably in a highly quantitative subject such as Computer Science, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering; an excellent Master's-level qualification and object-oriented programming skills are advantages. UK fees and an annual tax-free stipend are covered; international students may apply but normally need to cover the home/international fee difference unless funded as exceptional candidates.

Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MEYS) of the Czech Republic

Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies (SSSS) Scholarship

Open to international students, teachers, translators, interpreters and academics aged at least 18 who have an interest in Czech language, literature, history and culture. Czech ability from beginner (A0) to advanced (C1) is accepted because courses are streamed by level. Applicants must be nominated through a Czech embassy, ministry or partner institution rather than applying directly to the host university.

Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Indonesia

KNB Scholarship (Kemitraan Negara Berkembang)

For students from developing countries to study a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree at partner universities in Indonesia. Managed by Indonesia's Ministry of Education, the scholarship usually begins with a one-year enrichment programme including Indonesian-language preparation.

National Agency for Research and Development (ANID), Government of Chile

ANID Becas Chile Scholarships

For Chilean citizens or permanent residents with a strong academic record who wish to pursue a master's or doctoral degree abroad. Applicants apply to the relevant ANID Becas Chile call (concurso) for their level and usually need admission or a clear admission plan to an eligible foreign university.

Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD)

Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) Scholarships

Open to international and local students applying to SUTD undergraduate, master's or PhD programmes. The SUTD President Graduate Scholarship and the SUTD Scholarship are open to all nationalities; selection is based on academic merit and the strength of the application.

Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University

SIIT Graduate Scholarship (EFS)

Open to both Thai and international students applying for Master's or PhD study at SIIT. International applicants are eligible for the Excellent Foreign Students (EFS) scholarship. Master's applicants need a Bachelor's degree with a GPA of at least 2.75, and PhD applicants need a Master's degree with a GPA of at least 3.50. There is no application fee, applications are made online, and an English proficiency test certificate is not required to apply.

Barcelona Institute of Economics (IEB), University of Barcelona

IEB PhD Scholarships in Economics at the University of Barcelona

Open to applicants who will have completed a Master's degree in Economics by the summer before enrolment and who wish to pursue a PhD in Economics at the University of Barcelona. Candidates must apply for admission to the UB PhD in Economics programme and separately send a statement of purpose to the IEB calls address. Selected scholars carry out research under IEB Research Program members and take on teaching responsibilities for applied economics courses in Public Economics at the undergraduate level. Only complete applications submitted before the deadline are considered. Applicants should confirm the master's completion requirement and documents on the official UB page.

Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR)

A*STAR International Fellowship (AIF)

For postdoctoral researchers who have completed a PhD within the last 4 years (or are in the final stages of a PhD) with a strong publication record and no existing institutional bonds. Recipients commit to 3 years at an A*STAR Research Institute in Singapore after the overseas training.

University of Glasgow, School of Social and Political Sciences

University of Glasgow School of Social and Political Sciences PhD Scholarship

Open to both international and home (UK) applicants seeking PhD study in the School of Social and Political Sciences. Applicants normally need at least an upper second-class honours degree (2:1) or overseas equivalent in a social science subject, with evidence of some first-class level performance; candidates without a Master's degree are expected to hold a first-class undergraduate degree. Three international scholarships are reserved for candidates from OECD-classified Least Developed, Low-Income, Lower-Middle or Upper-Middle Income countries, and two home scholarships for UK Widening Participation candidates. All offers depend on securing admission to a PhD programme within the School.

Open to candidates worldwide who hold an MSc in Computer Science or a related field with software-development experience, show a clear interest in research toward a PhD in advanced data management, have practical or theoretical expertise in databases, multimedia data management or information retrieval, are proficient in English, and can work effectively in a team.
