University of Ottawa International English Scholarships

Open to international undergraduate students who hold a valid Canadian study permit and are newly admitted to an English-language undergraduate programme in Arts, Engineering, Health Sciences, Science, Social Sciences, or the Telfer School of Management. A minimum admission average of 80 percent is needed for the Admission Scholarship and 90 percent for the Academic Excellence Scholarship. Students in the French immersion or French-language streams are not eligible.

IEEE ITSS Fellowship Program

Open to individuals of all nationalities and backgrounds, with a focus on Women in Engineering (WiE) and Young Professionals (YP). Applicants must be active IEEE ITSS members (proof of membership is required) and be willing to take part in future ITSS activities such as committees, conferences and webinars, and in ITS research-paper review processes. Sophia University

Sophia University Scholarships

Open to international and Japanese students who apply for one of Sophia University's English-taught undergraduate or graduate programmes in the 2026 entrance examination. The New Student Scholarship covers one-third, one-half, or full first-year tuition; the Adachi (Benefactors') Scholarship is for international students only and covers full first-year tuition plus the education enhancement fee. Scholarship applications must be submitted in a separate packet alongside the admission application; doctoral students may instead be recommended by their graduate school for the researcher-fostering scholarship without applying.

Young Leaders Camp (Youth Break the Boundaries)

Open to applicants of any nationality aged roughly 15 to 40 (the organiser cites 16 to 40 at the time of application) from any educational background, with a good command of English and no record of criminal activity, who can attend the short programme in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Kyoto University (funded by the Bai Xian Asia Institute)

Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program (AFLSP) at Kyoto University

Citizens of eligible Asian countries who meet Kyoto University's academic and admission requirements, are committed to completing the two-year programme and participating in AFLSP leadership activities, and are admitted to a qualifying undergraduate programme. Open to students of all academic disciplines.

Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST)

Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) Scholarships

Open to international students worldwide. Master's applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree and PhD applicants a Master's degree. Applicants need official transcripts and degree certificates (apostilled or notarised), two recommendation letters, a valid passport, and English proficiency such as TOEFL iBT 80, IELTS 6.5, TOEIC 750, or NEW TEPS 285, with exemptions for English-medium education.

British Council (administered by Brunel University of London)

British Council Women in STEM Scholarships

Open to female students who are nationals and residents of Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, or Vietnam, classified as international students for fee purposes, who hold a relevant undergraduate degree and secure an offer for one of the eligible one-year MSc courses at Brunel University of London. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, meet the English language requirement, and commit to returning to their home country for at least two years after graduation.

Chulalongkorn University, Faculty of Medicine

Chulalongkorn University Scholarships (Medical and Biomedical Sciences)

Open to international students of all nationalities applying to the funded M.Sc. and Ph.D. programmes in medical and biomedical sciences. Master's applicants need a relevant bachelor's degree and Ph.D. applicants a relevant master's degree, both with a strong academic record on a 4.00 GPA scale, plus a valid IELTS or TOEFL-ITP English score (valid for two years). Candidates must also meet the specific requirements of the chosen programme.

Bayer Foundation (Bayer-Stiftung)

Bayer Foundation Fellowships

Open to Master's, PhD, and medical students of all nationalities pursuing studies in pharmaceutical, agricultural, medical, or climate sciences. Applicants must be undertaking a research project, internship, or international study placement: German students must go abroad, while non-German students must conduct their research in Germany. The Foundation encourages applications from women, students from low-income countries, parents with caregiving responsibilities, and non-German speakers based in Germany.

Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine (SHSMU)

SJTU School of Medicine Chinese Government Scholarship

Open to non-Chinese citizens in good health who are not currently studying in China. Master's applicants must hold a bachelor's degree and be under 35; doctoral applicants must hold a master's degree and be under 40. Applicants must show excellent academic records and must not hold any other Chinese government or organisation scholarship.

American University of Sharjah (AUS)

President's Scholarship at the American University of Sharjah

Open to first-time, first-year students who completed their secondary education outside the UAE and are enrolling at AUS in the fall semester. Applicants must meet high academic thresholds (such as IELTS 7.0 / TOEFL iBT 94 and top grades in their curriculum) and submit a portfolio demonstrating leadership and community contribution.

Italian universities, UNHCR and partners (UNICORE)

University Corridors for Refugees (UNICORE) Scholarship

Open to recognised refugees residing in one of the eligible countries who hold valid refugee status at the time of application. Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree meeting the requirements of the chosen Italian Master's programme, meet the language requirements set by the university, and commit to studying in Italy from the autumn intake. Eligible countries are Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Ministry of Education, Tertiary Education, Science and Technology, Republic of Mauritius

Mauritius Government Scholarships

Open to citizens of African Union or African Commonwealth countries (excluding Mauritius) who wish to study at a university in Mauritius. The scheme principally supports Master's-level study, while age limits apply across the broader programme: undergraduate applicants should be aged 18-26 and MPhil/PhD applicants under 40 by 1 January of the award year. Applicants need the relevant prior qualification for their level and, where they are not native English speakers, proof of English proficiency such as TOEFL or IELTS.

Vital Voices Global Partnership

Vital Voices Global Fellowship

Open to women of all nationalities who are at least 18 years old at the time of application, are proficient in English, and show a strong commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Applicants must be willing to engage fully in all fellowship activities and meet the specific criteria of one of the two tracks: VV Venture, for women leading social enterprises, or VV Engage, for women in public leadership, policy, and advocacy roles.

Banco Santander (Santander Open Academy) with the British Council

Santander & British Council English Online Course Scholarships

Adults aged 18 or over who reside in one of the eligible countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, the United States and Uruguay) and have an English level between A1 and C1. No university degree or Santander account is required.

LSE Graduate Support Scheme

For master's students at LSE who have the academic ability to take up their place but face a funding gap. The Graduate Support Scheme is need-based (means-tested) and open to home and international students; you apply through LSE's graduate financial-support application after applying for your programme.

University of Leeds - EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Molecules to Product

University of Leeds EPSRC Molecules to Product PhD Studentships

Graduates with a strong academic background in chemical engineering, materials science, physics, mathematics, statistics, chemistry or food science. Fully funded EPSRC studentships are open to UK fee-rated applicants; self-funded international students may also apply.

Makerere University (with Case Western Reserve University, USA; funded by the U.S. NIH Fogarty International Center)

Makerere University-Case Western SIGHT MSc Biomedical Engineering Scholarship

Open to Ugandan nationals holding a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a health-related field from a recognised university, who are currently enrolled in one of the listed Master's programmes at Makerere University, have completed the first year of the MSc with good academic standing, and have a research interest aligned with biomedical engineering and health technology.

University of Lublin (in partnership with University of Tlemcen, Algeria)

Erasmus+ Student Mobility Scholarships at University of Lublin

Open to students currently enrolled at the University of Tlemcen (Algeria), of any nationality, who are in the 2nd or 3rd year of a Bachelor's degree or the 1st year of a Master's degree, with English at B2 or Polish at B1, and who have not previously held an Erasmus+ or other international scholarship.

Flemish Ministry of Education and Training

Master Mind Scholarships (Flanders, Belgium)

Open to international students of all nationalities applying to a Master's programme at a participating Flemish university or university college in Belgium. Applicants must hold a strong academic record, meet the English language requirement through IELTS, TOEFL, or a university exemption letter, and apply to the host institution before its internal deadline. The host university preselects candidates and submits the complete application through the Mobility-Online portal; late submissions are not accepted.

Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS)

JSPS Invitational Fellowships for Research in Japan

Open to international researchers from countries with diplomatic relations with Japan, across the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. Eligibility depends on the category: postdoctoral fellowships require a recent PhD, while invitational fellowships target senior researchers at professor or associate-professor level. Applicants cannot apply on their own; every application must be submitted by a Japanese host researcher through the JSPS Electronic Application System, and fellows must reside in Japan throughout the award period.

Singapore Press Holdings Foundation (SPH Foundation)

Lim Kim San Memorial Scholarship

Open to Singapore citizens with a monthly family income of S$5,000 or below who show strong academic results (GCE 'O'/'A' level or polytechnic) and a consistent co-curricular record, and who are pursuing or about to begin a first undergraduate (or diploma) degree at a local university in eligible fields such as Humanities and Languages.
