Tobe Maki Foundation Scholarship in Japan

Open to students of all nationalities enrolled at a university in Japan between April 2026 and March 2027. Undergraduate applicants must be in their 3rd year or higher, and Master's and PhD students are eligible. Applicants must be under 30 years old as of 1 April 2026, conduct research within the eligible fields, hold a 'Student' residence visa (for international applicants), be self-funded rather than receiving a government scholarship, and demonstrate academic merit, good character, and financial need.

Academy of Korean Studies (AKS)

AKS Graduate Fellowship for International Students

Open to non-Korean citizens (or overseas Koreans who completed their education outside Korea) who are currently enrolled in, or have completed coursework in, a master's or doctoral programme at a non-Korean university and whose research topic relates to Korean Studies. Applicants must not have previously received the AKS Graduate Fellowship. Proficiency in English or Korean is preferred but not mandatory. This is a non-degree, six-month research fellowship in South Korea, not a degree-granting programme.

Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon PhD Position in Materials Science and Mechanical Engineering

Open to applicants who hold a Master's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with strong knowledge of metallurgy, slip/twinning mechanisms and the mechanical behaviour of metals. Experience with magnesium (Mg) alloys, micro-compression or SEM techniques is an advantage. Candidates need strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary, international environment. The post is a salaried PhD position open to international applicants.

Open to citizens of UNESCO's list of 57 eligible developing countries who are currently enrolled in, or have graduated from, an undergraduate or postgraduate engineering programme. Candidates need a strong academic background in engineering, science, or technology, proficiency in English, and good physical and mental health. Fellows pursue advanced training and research in engineering at host universities in Poland.

Education Exchanges Support Foundation (EESF), Republic of Lithuania

Lithuania State Scholarships for Full-Time Master's Studies

Citizens of eligible countries (including Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, China, Georgia, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, South Korea, Ukraine, the United States and others) who hold or will hold a Bachelor's degree by the end of the academic year, have an acceptance or pre-acceptance letter from a Lithuanian university, and do not already hold a Master's degree.

Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sport of Spain

Spanish Government Scholarships

Open mainly to Spanish nationals and, for several lines, EU citizens resident in Spain who are enrolled or admitted to an official Spanish university or vocational programme. Income-based general grants (Becas MEC) test household income and academic performance, while research and postdoctoral contracts such as Juan de la Cierva and Ramon y Cajal require relevant degrees and a research project. Exact eligibility differs per programme and is fixed in each annual call.

Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU)

NPU President Scholarship

Open to international students of all nationalities except Chinese citizens, who are in good physical and mental health and hold the qualification required for their level (high school diploma for Bachelor's, bachelor's degree for Master's, master's degree for PhD). Age limits apply: under 25 for Bachelor's, under 30 for Master's, and under 35 for PhD before 1 September of the entry year. Applicants need a minimum average academic score of 75% or above and proficiency in Chinese or English; standardised tests such as SAT, ACT, A-Level, AP, IB, IGCSE, GRE, or GMAT are also accepted.

University of Copenhagen (UCPH), Department of Computer Science

University of Copenhagen PhD Fellowship in Interpretable Natural Language Processing

Open to applicants who hold (or will hold) a Master's degree (MSc) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence or a closely related field, with a strong background in NLP or ML. Candidates must have excellent written and spoken English and ideally evidence of prior research, programming and data-analysis experience. The position is a salaried PhD employment under the Danish AC collective agreement rather than a tuition-paying studentship, and is open to applicants of any nationality.

Shenzhen University (SZU)

Shenzhen University PhD Scholarships

Open to non-Chinese citizens with a valid foreign passport who hold a Master's degree or are in the final year of a Master's program, are in good physical and mental health, and are under 40 years old at the time of application. Applicants must meet language requirements (HSK 4 or 5 for Chinese-taught programs, or TOEFL/IELTS for English-taught programs) and should secure a prospective PhD supervisor at SZU before applying.

Government of Azerbaijan (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Science and Education)

Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant Program (Government of Azerbaijan)

Open to international students who are citizens of member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) or the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), Small Island Developing States (SIDS), or countries with historical, cultural, or ethnic ties to Azerbaijan. Applicants must meet age limits by degree level, hold a minimum GPA equivalent to 70/100, and be proficient in English, Russian, Turkish, or Azerbaijani. Programmes span Bachelor's, Master's, PhD, medical residency, and preparatory courses.

Einstein Forum and Daimler and Benz Foundation

The Einstein Fellowship

Open to young thinkers from any country who are under 35 years of age and hold a university degree in the humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences. Candidates must propose a project in a field different from their previous focus that is not part of their dissertation or thesis. The application includes a CV, a two-page project proposal, and two letters of recommendation, all in English.

Center for Language Education and Cooperation (Chinese International Education Foundation)

Confucius Institute Scholarship (CIS)

Open to international students who are not Chinese citizens and are interested in studying Chinese language, culture, or teaching Chinese (BTCSOL/MTCSOL). The scholarship is tenable at more than 150 host universities across China and covers tuition, on-campus accommodation, basic medical insurance, and a monthly living allowance for the 2026/2027 cycle. Applicants apply online and submit documents through a Confucius Institute, a Chinese embassy or consulate, or an affiliated exam/education center.

Rotary Foundation

Rotary Peace Fellowships

For professionals committed to peace and development, with relevant work experience and (for the master's) a strong academic background and proficiency in English. Applicants apply through their local Rotary district and are selected globally by The Rotary Foundation for study at a Rotary Peace Center.

Boustany MBA Scholarship at the University of Cambridge

Open to applicants of all nationalities who have secured a place on the one-year full-time Cambridge MBA at Judge Business School. Candidates need a strong academic background, a competitive GMAT score, and proficiency in English. Preference is given to applicants of Lebanese descent. Applications are made to the Boustany Foundation only after an MBA offer has been received.

Griffith University Postgraduate Research Scholarships (GUPRS)

Open to candidates commencing or enrolled in a Higher Degree Research (HDR) program at Griffith University who hold a Bachelor Degree with First Class Honours (AQF 8) or an equivalent qualification. Applicants must not already hold a degree at the same or higher level than the HDR program, must not have held an equivalent scholarship before (unless conditions apply), and their other income for living costs must not exceed 75 percent of the GUPRS stipend.

Open to local and international students of all nationalities who enrol full-time in a MAHSA Foundation programme (Science, Business or Arts) leading to a Bachelor's degree. Applicants must hold at least 5 SPM or O-Level credits in the relevant subjects, show good conduct, maintain attendance and academic standards, and provide evidence of financial need.

NAWA — Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange

Polish Government Scholarship – Stefan Banach Programme (NAWA)

For students from selected developing and partner countries to take a second-cycle (master's) degree at Polish public universities, with priority for engineering and technical sciences, agriculture, and the exact and natural sciences. It exempts holders from tuition and pays a monthly NAWA scholarship; applicants apply through NAWA in the annual call.

The University of Queensland (UQ) Graduate School

UQ Graduate School Scholarships (Research Training Program)

Open to domestic and international students of all nationalities applying for a higher degree by research (HDR) at UQ - a PhD, MPhil or research-focused professional doctorate. Applicants must be nominated by an enrolling UQ school or institute, meet all admission conditions for the HDR programme, and not already hold a stipend or scholarship that provides a benefit exceeding 75% of the RTP living allowance rate.

University of California, Davis (with the Technical University of Denmark)

UC Davis California-Denmark Innovator Fellowship

Open to postdoctoral researchers employed at a Danish university who completed their PhD within the past 5 years. Applicants must have expertise in food science, technology or engineering, biotechnology or biosolutions, agricultural sciences, nutrition and metabolic health, planetary or environmental health, or computational and data science, and must be eligible to obtain a U.S. visa for a six-month stay. International scholars based in Denmark are welcome to apply.

Government of Malaysia International Scholarship (MIS)

Open to international postgraduate applicants from eligible countries who intend to pursue, or are enrolled in, full-time Master's or PhD study at Malaysian public universities or selected private institutions. Master's applicants must be under 40 and PhD applicants under 45, with a CGPA of 3.0 or a Second Class Upper (Honours), IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL PBT 550, and a research proposal of at least 1,000 words.

Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU)

SWJTU Silk Road Scholarship for Master's and PhD in China

Open to non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health, primarily from Belt and Road Initiative countries. Applicants must be under 35 for Master's or under 40 for PhD, hold a relevant Bachelor's degree for Master's or a Master's degree for PhD, meet language requirements (HSK Level 4 for Chinese-taught programs or IELTS/TOEFL for English-taught programs), and provide a valid non-criminal record certificate and Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Applicants cannot hold multiple Chinese Government Scholarships at the same time.
