Open to citizens of ASEAN member states (excluding Singapore citizens and PRs) who are 40 years old or younger at the time of application, hold a PhD from a reputable institution, are employed at (or hold a confirmed offer from) a public-sector research institute in their home country, and are proficient in spoken and written English. Applicants must secure in-principle approval from a host professor or principal investigator in Singapore.

BfR PhD Scholarship in Experimental Toxicology

Open to applicants of all nationalities who hold a Master's degree in biology, biotechnology, pharmacology, veterinary medicine, or a related discipline, have prior cell-culture experience, can write and communicate effectively in scientific English (German an advantage), and have a genuine interest in stem-cell research and neurodevelopmental disease models. International applicants must meet German visa and residence requirements.

The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and ICCBS, University of Karachi

TWAS-ICCBS Postgraduate Fellowship Programme

Open to citizens of developing countries other than Pakistan who are 35 years of age or younger by 31 December of the application year. Applicants must hold a Master's degree in the natural sciences, be registered PhD students in their home country, provide a preliminary acceptance letter from ICCBS and a no-objection certificate from their home university, supply a recent medical certificate and two reference letters, and prove English proficiency. Candidates must commit to returning home after the fellowship and must not hold residency in Pakistan or any developed country.

Brescia University College (affiliated with Western University)

Brescia University College Entrance Scholarships

Open to international and domestic students applying to undergraduate or eligible graduate programmes at Brescia (now part of Western University) in London, Ontario. Entrance awards are based mainly on academic standing and admission; most applicants are automatically considered for entrance scholarships when they apply for admission, while some grants (such as the Academic Excellence Grant) require a separate application. A strong secondary-school or prior-degree record is expected, along with proof of English proficiency for applicants from non-English-instruction backgrounds.

London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM)

LSHTM EDCTP COMPASS Fellowship

Open to nationals of sub-Saharan African countries who are employed for at least 12 months by a local public health or research organisation working in areas such as HIV, TB, malaria, antimicrobial resistance, maternal health, or climate-related diseases. Applicants need employer support and a commitment to continued employment after the fellowship, must meet LSHTM's admission requirements for the MSc by Distance Learning, and should hold at least a second-class honours degree or equivalent professional qualification with 3+ years of relevant experience.

Leibniz University Hannover

Leibniz University Hannover Soil Science PhD Scholarship

Open to applicants of all nationalities who hold a Master's degree in soil science, geosciences, environmental sciences or a closely related field, are proficient in written and spoken English, and are physically fit for extended fieldwork in tropical regions (Ghana and India). Experience with soil analysis, spectral tools and drone operations is an advantage but not mandatory.

Open to AI professionals and researchers who are legally eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship, have resided in the UK for at least 5 years (a security check is required), are employed by a UK-based organisation willing to support a 12-month secondment, and hold a PhD or equivalent professional experience in AI or a related discipline.

Open to domestic and international applicants for a Master's in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences. Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0, be highly motivated to assist with fieldwork, data analysis, and research writing, demonstrate strong teamwork and independent research skills, and be physically fit to lift 40 pounds and work in varied weather. Fisheries or aquatic science experience is preferred. IELTS is not required.

CYD Doctoral Fellowships

Open to applicants of all nationalities who are enrolled, or plan to enrol, in a PhD programme at a Swiss university and have a confirmed endorsement from a Swiss professor who will supervise the doctorate. All PhD stages are eligible, though early-stage applicants are preferred, and there is no age restriction. Research must fall within cyber defence, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, cybersecurity, cryptography, computational and data science and engineering, systems security, or security technologies.

Cybersecurity and Cyber-Defence (CYD) Fellowships

Open to Master's, PhD, and Postdoctoral candidates of all nationalities pursuing or planning to pursue research in cyber-defence in Switzerland. Master Thesis Fellowship applicants must be enrolled Master's students at a Swiss institution; Doctoral Fellowship applicants need a Master's degree and admission to a Swiss PhD programme; Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowship applicants must hold a completed PhD with a strong publication record. All candidates need strong academic performance and a research proposal aligned with cyber-defence goals.

Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) PhD Scholarship in Solar-Powered Water Treatment

Open to applicants of all nationalities who hold a Master's degree in chemical, process, or environmental engineering or a related field, have a strong academic record and motivation in water-treatment research, and are fluent in written and spoken English (German a plus). A valid driver's licence is required for fieldwork, and prior experience with membrane filtration or electrochemical systems is an advantage.

Domestic or international students enrolling in a Higher Degree by Research (Master's by Research or PhD) at Deakin University, with at least four years of tertiary education and a minimum 80% average (or equivalent) in the final year of previous studies.

KWI International Fellowship

Open to postdoctoral researchers of any nationality who hold a PhD by the start of the fellowship. The KWI International Fellowship track is for scholars up to 6 years post-PhD; the Thyssen@KWI track (funded by the Fritz Thyssen Foundation) is for more experienced researchers. Applicants need an original research proposal aligned with KWI's interdisciplinary themes in humanities, cultural studies, and social sciences, and fluent written and spoken English. German nationals may apply only if they currently reside outside Germany.

For researchers from developing countries (other than Brazil) who hold a PhD and wish to carry out postdoctoral research at a research institution in Brazil. Applicants apply through TWAS for a placement, with a host institution in Brazil, under the TWAS-CNPq partnership.

UN Human Rights Office (OHCHR)

UN OHCHR Fellowship Programme for People of African Descent

Open to people of African descent currently living outside Africa who have at least 4 years of work experience related to the rights of people of African descent. Applicants need a good command of English, must be available for the entire duration of the programme in Geneva (historically about three weeks in November-December), must be able to obtain a visa to Switzerland, and must be actively involved in promoting and protecting the human rights of people of African descent.

Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS), Kyoto University

Kyoto University CSEAS Fellowship

Open to established scholars and professionals of recognised standing, regardless of nationality, who are generally under 65 years of age and not currently enrolled in graduate or postdoctoral programmes. Applicants from government, NGOs, media, IT, librarianship, and other sectors are welcome. Those previously awarded a CSEAS fellowship must wait at least six years before reapplying.

University of Bristol (UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology programme)

University of Bristol Spärck AI Scholarships

Open to applicants holding or pursuing a bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field such as computer science, data science, mathematics, engineering, or business and health-related disciplines, who are eligible to study in the UK and who can demonstrate academic excellence and potential in artificial intelligence. The scholarship funds taught master's study at the University of Bristol; applicants from underrepresented or low-income backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.

ANU International Research Scholarship

For international students applying for a Higher Degree by Research (PhD or MPhil) at the Australian National University (ANU) with a strong research background. Applicants apply for admission to the research degree and are considered for scholarship support covering tuition and a living stipend.

Seoul National University

Seoul National University President Fellowship (SPF)

Open to teaching or instructional staff currently employed at a recognised university in a developing country who do not already hold a PhD, hold at least a master's degree, are admitted to a PhD programme at Seoul National University for the relevant intake, and provide a certificate of employment plus a commitment letter from their home university confirming their return after graduation.

Bentham-Moxon Trust (B.A. Krukoff Fund), with Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and Queen Mary University of London

Bentham-Moxon Trust B.A. Krukoff Fellowship in Tropical African Botany

Open to international and UK students who have secured an offer for the Kew/QMUL Plant and Fungal Taxonomy, Diversity and Conservation MSc and wish to focus their research project on Tropical African botany. Applicants must show experience in Tropical African botany, a commitment to continuing work in the field after the course, meet UK study and visa requirements, be proficient in English, and not hold another bursary or grant for the same MSc year.

University of Prince Mugrin (UPM)

University of Prince Mugrin Scholarships

Open to Saudi and international students of all nationalities applying to undergraduate, Master's, or PhD programmes at the University of Prince Mugrin in Madinah for the 2026/2027 academic year. The full scholarship for Saudi high-school graduates requires a weighted high-school GPA of 97% or above and a maintained cumulative GPA of 3.5/4. Excellence, talented, national, and international-student scholarships are awarded on academic metrics, special skills, or admission merit. Applicants currently enrolled elsewhere must officially withdraw before enrolling at UPM.
